Это было у моря, где ажурная пена,
Где встречается редко городской экипаж...
Королева играла - в башне замка - Шопена,
И, внимая Шопену, полюбил ее паж.
Было все очень просто, было все очень мило:
Королева просила перерезать гранат,
И дала половину, и пажа истомила,
И пажа полюбила, вся в мотивах сонат.
А потом отдавалась, отдавалась грозово,
До восхода рабыней проспала госпожа...
Это было у моря, где волна бирюзова,
Где ажурная пена и соната пажа.

It happened near the sea with foam like airy lace.
You could hardly see a city cab in that place.
A queen was playing a piano in her castle"s tower.
Listening to Shopin a page felt under her power.
It just happened, so simple and so sweet -
She asked him to cut a pomegranate
And the half she gave him to eat.
Enchanted by music love she could not defeat.
And she gave herself to the page in a stormy way,
Through the whole night to him she obeyed.
It happened near the sea.There is a turquase wave
And foam is airy lace. And song of a page is engraved.
